Selena Gomez commits ultimate faux pas at Lil Dicky's wedding

Selena Gomez committed a faux pas while attending a wedding on Saturday. It all went down at the lavish seaside nuptials of rapper-comedian David 'Lil Dicky' Burd and his producer fiancée Kristin Batalucco. The 32-year-old 'Texican' pop star opted to wear a red halter dress and matching pumps - a no-no with most Western cultures due the flashy color upstaging the couple - but the 34-year-old bride didn't seem too bothered. Selena was joined at the wedding by her fiancé Benny Blanco, who popped the question with an eight-carat marquise diamond engagement ring on December 10 after 18 months of dating. The 37-year-old music producer appeared to be sporting a casual blue tracksuit, black sandals, and an excess of gold necklaces. Benny guest-starred in eight episodes of the 37-year-old groom's former FXX sitcom, Dave, and he returned the favor starring in two of Benny's music videos for Graduation and I Found You. Gomez - who boasts 654.8M social media followers - limited the comments on her Instagram slideshow, and mostly used the wedding as an opportunity to promote her first Rare Beauty fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum. On July 25, the two-time Grammy nominee revealed she would be serving her Nana's biscuits and gravy rather than a traditional big cake at her upcoming wedding to Blanco. Selena - who previously dated Drew Taggart, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber - refuses to convert to the 11-time Grammy nominee's Jewish faith. Gomez originally met Benny during a 2008 business meeting when she was only 16, and he went on to work on her second studio album Revival in 2015 as well as her 2023 song Single Soon. The I Said I Love You First couple purchased a seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom marital mansion in Beverly Hills last December for $35M. Selena previously lived in a $4.9M six-bedroom Encino mansion with her grandparents while Blanco owned a $9.2M five-bedroom Hollywood Hills home. Gomez executive produced and reprised her role as artist Mabel Mora in the fifth season of Steve Martin and John Hoffman's comedy series Only Murders in the Building, which premieres September 9 on Hulu. The Emilia Pérez actress, Martin Short, and Steve are said to earn well over $600K/episode to produce and star in the critically-acclaimed who-done-it. Gomez - who boasts 654.8M social media followers - limited the comments on her Instagram slideshow, and mostly used the wedding as an opportunity to promote her first Rare Beauty fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum Renée Zellweger, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, and Jermaine Fowler have also joined the SAG Award-winning ensemble for season five. Only Murders is nominated for outstanding comedy series and outstanding lead actor in a comedy series (Martin Short) at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, which air September 14 on CBS/Paramount+. Selena is also prepping to portray 11-time Grammy winner Linda Ronstadt in David O. Russell's untitled biopic produced by her former manager John Boylan.

Jennifer Aniston Reveals the Unexpected Skill She's Learned from Selena Gomez

She also shared her and Courtney Cox's "love language" that bores people "to tears."The Gist Jennifer Aniston opened up about her relationship with Selena Gomez and the unexpected skill the social media maven has helped her with during a 'People' interview published August 9. While the pair are now close friends, Gomez previously revealed that she was starstruck when she met Aniston for the first time. Aniston also opened up about her and Friends co-star Courtney Cox's shared "love language," admitting that it "bores people to tears."Jennifer Aniston might be most well known for her ten-year run as Rachel Green on Friends, but the sitcom icon is also a beauty maven sharing her best hair secrets through LolaVie. Since founding the hair care company four years ago, the Morning Show actress is now launching a dry shampoo as her twelfth product—and she chatted with People about her relationships with fellow entrepreneurs Selena Gomez and Courtney Cox. As the most followed woman on Instagram with 418 million followers and counting, Gomez knows a little something about social media—and Aniston is happy to give the Only Murders in the Building actress her flowers. When asked what she'd learned from the Rare founder, whom she met many years ago in a bathroom, the star shared, "Selena helps me lean into social media.' She also confirmed that the longtime friends are as tight as ever, adding, 'And she's just an angel that I love to spend time with." The A-listers, who both share the same manager Aleen Keshishian, apparently met in a bathroom over a decade ago when a 'starstruck' Gomez says 'nobody knew who I was.' Subbing in as a host on Ellen DeGeneres's daytime talk show back in 2020, Gomez reminded Aniston about their change meeting. 'You were in the bathroom wearing a black dress,' she said, calling the exchange 'everything that I wanted.' Gomez explained, 'I walked into the bathroom and I saw you and you were just so nice. You just walked out of the bathroom, you were going back, and my heart stopped and I freaked out and I ran to my mom and I was like, 'Oh my God, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.'' While Aniston didn't appear to remember their first meeting, she opened up about their close friendship, sharing, 'We've known each other for years. You've been to my house, we've had pizza.' Aniston also opened up about her enduring friendship with former Friends alum Cox during her People interview, although she admitted she's less likely to tap her ex co-star for beauty takes than for another topic they love to geek over. 'We usually talk interior design," Aniston admitted, adding, "It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it's what we love. It's our love language." Jennifer Aniston stuns fans with new BFF reveal as she calls her 'love language' with Courteney Cox 'boring'

Jennifer Aniston is opening up about her female friendships. This week the 56-year-old actress spoke to People and gushed about her close bond with former Friends co-star Courteney Cox, 61, as well as her little known rapport with Selena Gomez, 33. Jennifer said about the Only Murders in the Building star, 'Selena helps me lean into social media. And she's just an angel that I love to spend time with.' The two beauty entrepreneurs collaborated on a Galentine's Day event in February, cross-marketing their brands LolaVie and Rare. Courteney is also a beauty entrepreneur, but Jennifer revealed that the subject they chat about most is unrelated to their businesses. 'We usually talk interior design,' she told the publication. 'It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it's what we love. It's our love language.' In 2020 Selena recounted meeting Jennifer for the first time. As the silver screen siren hosted the Ellen DeGeneres Show five years ago, the songstress told her: 'Nobody knew who I was and you were in the bathroom wearing a black dress. 'I think we were at a Vanity Fair [party] or something. My heart stopped and I freaked out.' The Wolves hitmaker previously admitted she feels 'very lucky' to be friends with The Morning Show actress because she is 'kind and warm' and helps to guide her through life. She said in a June 2015 E! News interview: 'I met Jennifer through my management company — we're represented by the same people — and she's been so wonderful to me. 'She's invited me over to her house and made pizza for me and just been so kind and warm.' The I Said I Loved You First artist added at the time, 'I'm very lucky to have her as a friend and we've talked a lot about dealing with the media attention and having your life exposed at times. I know I can call her for advice and that's a nice feeling.' Elsewhere in her chat with People, Jennifer discussed how she unwinds. 'I come home. I'm with my dogs. I'll put on music,' she said about her relaxed home life. She also noted, 'I'll talk to some friends on the phone, like people used to do. I like to just zone out to a great documentary, something that's going to be light on my heart and make me laugh. Maybe have friends over for dinner.' The Murder Mystery star recently found love again with hypnotist and wellness entrepreneur Jim Curtis. In July they were spotted on a yacht as they vacationed together in Mallorca, Spain with actor Jason Bateman, his wife, and other friends.
